Easy Vanilla Lavender Honey Latte Recipe

One of my favorite hobbies to have is coffee. But when I say coffee, I don’t mean the usual coffee recipes! I love to enjoy coffee infused and mixed with some of my favorite flavors and in different styles – like lattes, frappes, cold-brew, iced coffeereally, I enjoy ANY style of coffee. Today’s taste was one of my all-time go-to’s, or rather, now it is! This vanilla lavender honey latte is absolutely delicious – you NEED to try it!

The best part of this coffee is that you can modify it to your tastes (of course it’ll taste slightly different, so I can’t guarantee you’ll love it after you change it). You can serve it up as a hot latte – like I do here – or you can turn it into an iced coffee or even a frappe! This recipe also utilizes espresso, but don’t let that stop you! I have some work-arounds you can do.

Now, here’s the best vanilla lavender honey latte recipe you can try!

How to Make a Vanilla Lavender Honey Latte at Home

I’ll be upfront, I did get the inspiration for this recipe from some friends at a local café. They helped me make the picture-worthy foam and use fresh espresso (because I, like many, lack an espresso machine in my coffee set-up). Still, that didn’t stop me from bringing home! This was actually one of the few days I’ve ventured out to town without my husband since I gave birth to my third so the face-to-face conversations with other human adults was a nice swap from the toddler rambles I typically get.

But, you’re not here for that, you’re here to learn how to make a vanilla lavender honey latte at home! So, here’s what you’ll need:

If you have all of your goodies and ingredients ready, we can go ahead and move forward to the how-to:

Making Your Vanilla Lavender Honey Latte:

How to Make a Vanilla Lavender Honey Latte | The Hobby Mom

Personally, I like things when they’re broken into convienent little steps because I can’t tell you how many recipes I’ve read that assume I can read between the lines and put two and two together. Sadly, my mom brain cannot put two and two together and when I try I end up with 1 or 17! So, I’m going to assume you know nothing like I know nothing and we’re working on our last brain cell (which I am).

Here’s how to make your vanilla lavender honey latte step-by-step:

Step #1: Make Your Espresso

This will look different based on what you have. If you have to grind some beans and use you espresso machine do it. Otherwise, pop that espresso k-cup in and follow the instructions on their box for the right portion (should just make one shot).

Step #2: Steam and Froth Milk with Lavender, Vanilla, and Honey

If you didn’t already figure out how to steam and froth your milk, read The Pioneer Woman’s guide real quick. You’ll want to add 1/2 tablespoon of vanilla, a 1/2 tablespoon of your lavender, and a touch of honey to 4oz of milk and steam it (heat it up) together – then froth.

Step #3: Combine

Combine it all in your mug. Start with your espresso in the bottom, then add your frothed milk mixture. Stir to combine (if you want to). Now it’s time to enjoy! The best part is, if you’ve used all your kid-free time making your latte, it’s still delicious if you forget about it and come back to it once it’s cooled down. You could even pour it over ice and call it and iced latte!
